Amanda Welch, Preschool Director
Alden Bridge Presbyterian Church and Alden Bridge Preschool are pleased to introduce Amanda Welch as the new preschool director! Amanda’s greatest passion is the teaching and guiding of children by establishing a love for learning and witnessing Christ through the care of children and their parents. In union with Alden Bridge Presbyterian, her mission will be to share the joy of loving and serving God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, thereby increasing family life within the Alden Bridge Presbyterian preschool and community. She currently holds a B.S. degree in Social Sciences with a minor in Psychology and has over twelve years of experience in Early Childhood Education. Amanda also holds a Texas Child Care Director's license, and is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the Southern Early Childhood Association, the Texas Association for the Education of Young Children, CPR/First Aid Certified and is am currently studying for her Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Instruction. Her husband, Stoney and Amanda, have been married since June 05, 2012, after having dated for 7 years. They have a beautiful daughter, Brooke, who was born August 12, 2013. Amanda enjoys spending her free time outdoors, jogging, and with family and friends. The majority of her experience has been obtained while serving as the Director of the Early Childhood Learning Program at St. Thomas' Episcopal Church and School and having built and molded the program from the opening of its doors, to what it is today. She also served as the Director of Summer Programs, with the same challenge being to build enrollment, quality, and community relationships.
